A 19th century diamond corsage ornament, circa 1840

The cartouche-shaped mount composed of scrolling foliate tendrils, highlighted with stylised fleur-de-lys motifs and a central flowerhead motif, set throughout with old brilliant and cushion-shaped diamonds, some of yellow tint, diamonds approximately 12.90 carats, one diamond deficient, lower section detaches to form a smaller brooch/pendant, together with additional screw fitting and diamond-set suspensory loop, length 7.6cm. Estimate: £4,000 - 6,000
