A Rare 'Longquan' Octagonal Dish. Ming Dynasty, 15th Century

the flaring sides rising from an angled base and short tapering foot, moulded to the interior with a trellis-diaper medallion and encircled with a freely carved floral spray in each of the eight lobes, covered overall with a soft bluish-green glaze. 21.5cm., 8 1/2 in. Estimate 750—1,000 GBP
