the robustly-potted body with lobed rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted barbed rim, finely carved to the interior with a medallion enclosing a peony spray, encircled in the well by panels enclosing composite floral and fruiting sprays and repeated on the exterior, covered overall in a thick bluish-green glaze, the base with a ring burnt orange in the firing.
