A Large Wucai Vase, Transitional Period, circa 1645-1660

The tall, tapering body painted with three phoenixes in flight amidst scrolling peony blooms, below a narrow band of cracked ice pattern on the shoulder, the waisted neck with stems of peony and chrysanthemum amidst blue rocks. 21 1/8 in. (53.7 cm.) high. Estimate $15,000 - $25,000
