Very Fine Sapphire and diamond brooch, 1880s

Of flower head design, set at the centre with an octagonal step-cut sapphire, the petals set with cushion-shaped, circular-, single and rose-cut diamonds. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 53389 stating that the sapphire, estimated to weigh approximately 32.00 carats, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Est. 95,000—135,000 CHF
