Finely modeled and enamelled in bright tones in the form of a circular openwork medallion enclosing one of the Eight Buddhist Emblems (bajixiang), panchang, sitting atop a lotus pod with recessed seeds nestled in a lotus blossom raised on a stem of chevrons flanked by openwork curling leaves, the whole raised on a domed base painted with petals and covered in turquoise enamel on the interior
