The large textured anchor set throughout with circular, oval and pear-shaped cabochon coral corallium rubrum, chrysoprase, turquoise and onyx, accented by brilliant-cut diamonds, to a detachable suspensory loop, diamonds approximately 0.30 carat total, signed Van Cleef and Arpels, numbered, maker’s mark, French assay marks, length 9.0cm. Estimate: $10,000 – $11,000
Notes: The maker’s mark indicates that this lot was created by the Péry & Fils workshop in Paris. La Maison Péry was founded by Lucien Péry in 1875 as a family-run firm making and supplying jewels of fine craftsmanship. The atelier collaborated on projects with many of the great jewellery houses of the twentieth century and regularly with Van Cleef & Arpels. The firm still exists today and was bought recently by Van Cleef & Arpels.
