Exceptionally fine quality natural citrine has been incorporated into this museum-quality carving depicting a European brown bear on resting on a log. From the texturing of fur to the bark on the log, the hand of a virtuoso lapidary is evident, with monogram signature AZ for Alfred Zimmerman. Weighing approximately 4306 carats and measuring 7 1/2 x 3 x 3 in. Sold for US$ 40,000 (€28,956)
