Decorated in gold and red takamaki-e, kirikane and e-nashiji with a giant ceremonial gakudaiko (drum) partially hidden behind a sumptuous brocade curtain beneath flowering branches of maple, the design of the curtain continuing on the reverse, the interior of rich nashiji, signed Koma Kansai zo. 10cm (3 7/8in) high.
