A very rare type of characteristic form, the silver-mounted hilt with embossed and engraved monsterhead pommel and ferrule, elephant grip and silver guard with broad knucklebow. Single-edged, bifullered blade with profiled silver collar. Scabbard of teak with finely-executed mother of pearl inlay panels and large silver mounts embossed and engraved with dragons and intertwining foliate bands. Very light wear. Overall length 96.5 cm, blade 91 cm
