The dish is decorated to the interior with female warriors in a battle scene from the Chinese legend "Generals of the Yang Family". The rim is decorated with six landscape cartouches in reserve on a diaper ground. The base is painted with a leaf within a double circle. 14 ¾ in. (37.4 cm.) diam.
