of bombé form, the exterior well-painted with a gathering of scholars conversing and playing the qin in a setting of rocky outcroppings, bamboo, pine trees, and a large bank of loosely painted clouds, between a narrow border upright lappets and a bold chevron band, the base unglazed. Diameter 8 3/4 in., 22.2 cm
