Standing in an elegantly swayed stance with head turned to the right and hands held in front, wearing heavy, full-sleeved robes and shoes with upturned toes, her full face with small red mouth and a trace of a gold decoration on the forehead framed by her unusual, large carapace-like coif drawn up into a chignon in front, with traces of dark pink, red, black and green pigment and white slip - 14 3/8in. (36.5cm.) high - Lot 202. Estimate $5,000 - $7,000. Price Realized $5,975
