of conical form, the wide flaring sides rising from a gently tapered foot to a six-lobed rim, the centre inside with an indented circle, covered overall in a transparent glaze with a bluish tinge suffused with a network of icy crackles, the base unglazed revealing the buff-coloured body and inscribed with the character Chen, a family name, in black ink; 19.9 cm, 7 7/8 in.
