of steeply rounded form, painted with a continuous scene with figures in a rocky mountainous landscape, fishermen poling sampans on a wide river, pavilions nestled amidst lush vegetation, with sections of the trees highlighted in copper-red, the base perforated with a circular hole, all below a ruyi border around the rim; 57 cm, 22 1/2 in.
Provenance: In the family between 1812-1836 and thence by descent.
