22 kt gold pin with depletion gilding set with one Australian boulder opal (opal in matrix). The stone exhibits a narrow slice of opal within the brown matrix forming the circle. The setting is circular with two unevenly spaced horizontal bars set slightly above center. Gold balls of several sizes are soldered around these decorative elements.
