black green with a few areas of mid green, the cup with slightly flaring sides and short foot, the sides inlaid with diamonds, pearls and gold with four flowering plants, below the rim a frieze of foliate vine; 7 cm. high; 9 cm. max. diam.

Previously in the collection of HEH Nawab Sir Mir Osman Ali Khan Siddiqi, Bayafandi Asaf Jah VII, GCSI, GBE (1886-1967); HEH Mir Barkat Ali Khan Mukarram Jah Asaf Jah VIII Siddiqi, Bayafendi Asaf Jah VII (b. 1934); acquired by the present owner from an Australian auction of the eighth Nizam's chattels (Gregsons Auctioneers, The Chattels from the Havelock Street West Perth. Ex. Residence, 1st December 1995, lot 440).
