The dish is well potted with rounded sides rising from a short slightly tapering foot. The interior is painted in dark blue and paler shades of cobalt blue with areas simulating 'heaping and piling' with a lotus scroll surrounding a central bloom. The cavetto is deatiled with a continuous composite floral meander surrounded by a classic scroll to the rim, the exterior with a similar floral meander below a keyfret band to the rim.
