each bowl potted with steep curved sides rising from a low foot to a slightly everted mouth, the exterior finely painted with multicolour poppy blooms and buds borne on foliate stems, alongside aster blossoms, the slightly domed cover similarly decorated, both the interior of the finial and the base inscribed with six-character reign marks in iron red.
