the globular body rising from a splayed foot to a waisted cylindrical neck, the shoulder set with a long curved spout opposite a strap handle decorated with trapezoidal diaper pattern, the exterior crisply carved in relief with a large peony bloom and broad leaves borne on an undulating stem, applied overall save for the footring with a sage-green glaze.
The dating of this ewer is consistent with the results of the thermoluminescence (TL) test of the C&C Authentication Laboratory Limited, report no. NA0115.
