The bowl is freely carved to the exterior with scrolling flowers. The interior is carved with a central floral medallion, surrounded by lotuses interspersed with flower sprays. The bowl is covered overall in a rich bubble-suffused glaze of sea-green tone, cover, Japanese wood box.
Provenance: A private Japanese collection, Kobe, acquired circa 1930s.
