Cast with beveled edges and a distinct median ridge, the diamond-shaped guard and the circular pommel each decorated with gold-inlaid scroll motifs, the bronze with extensive malachite-green encrustation.
Provenance: Paula Heuser Antiquitäten, Hamburg, Germany, 29 July 1933, where acquired by Hermann Rosenfeld.
Acquired by the current owner from the heirs of Mr. Hermann Rosenfeld, circa 1990s.
