A flambé-glazed pear-shaped vase, 19th century

The vase is sturdily potted with a bulbous body rising to a long cylindrical neck and supported on a short tapered foot. It is covered overall in an attractive dark red glaze with fine crackling, thinning to a cream colour at the rim.
Provenance: Formerly in a private Hong Kong collection, amassed in the early 20th century.
