of archaic form, the globular body rising from a splayed foot, with a tall cylindrical neck set to each side with solid lug handles, the body moulded with four chilong reserved against a ground of S-shaped spirals, below a key-fret border, the neck with two wide friezes of S-shaped spirals above a lappet band, the base inscribed Tian [ ] qin ke chuan zao (Made by Qin Kechuan).
Note: The dating of this lot is consistent with the results of a thermoluminescence test, Oxford Authentication Ltd., no. C106q83.
