A rare chenxiangmu brush pot carved with prunus, Late Ming dynasty, 17th century

The exterior of the brush pot is finely carved with prunus and bamboo amidst rocky outcrops, and is a rich nut-brown in color.

Provenance: Butterfield's, San Francisco, 17 November 1994, lot 3158.
