Lot 826. A very rare white-glazed bottle vase, Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (1662-1722); 8 1/8 in. (20.8 cm.) high. Estimate USD 20,000 - USD 30,000. Price realised USD 23,750© Christie's Image Ltd 2020.

The tapering ovoid body surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck, applied around the shoulder with a dragon covered with a pale aubergine glaze, the eyes picked out in black, the base with an apocryphal Chenghua mark.

Provenance: The James and Marilynn Alsdorf Collection, Chicago, acquired prior to 1970.
