The bo is cast on each side with alternating bands of bosses formed by coiled serpents and bands of dense scrolls on either side of a field of smilar scrolls, all above a section of stylized dragon scroll. The top is surmounted by an inverted U-shaped handle supported on a pair of mythical beasts with backward-turned heads.
