each baluster body rising from a spreading foot with recessed base to a short straight neck with rolled rim, painted in vivid cobalt-blue to the exterior with a qilin and a phoenix amidst blooming foliages, all between keyfret bands, the domed cover with large lappet panels enclosing antiques and flowers and surmounted by a lotus bud finial.
