the body painted in tones of vibrant blue with interlaced ruyi heads suspending stylised lotus flowers alternating with bajixiang ('Eight Buddhist Emblems') suspended from beaded tassels, all above a band enclosing mythical horses galloping among turbulent waves, the neck decorated with stylised foliage, the base with a six-character mark in underglaze blue.
