Carved on one side in crisp high relief with a long gnarled curling branch of blossoming plum issuing from a terrace beside small clusters of bamboo, the reverse with a shallowly-incised long coiling venerable pine tree, both sides further incised in fine crisp kaishu script with poems concluding with the characters yuti ('Imperially inscribed'), box. 16.5cm (6½in) diam.
