The Bodhisattva cast seated in padmasana, the right hand in varada mudra and the left in abhaya mudra, the face with a serene expression and eyes downcast, crowned with a high tiara bearing a Buddha figure flanked by foliate scrolls, wearing long flowing robes incised with floral scrolls at the hem, adorned with beaded necklaces and earrings, traces of gilt lacquer remaining (chips to the fingers). 19.5cm (7¾in) high. Estimate: £1,000 - 1,500
