An archaistic white and russet jade vase, gu - 19th century
Modelled after archaic bronzes, the oval projecting mid section carved with taotie masks, between the tall flaring neck and the spreading foot carved with upright and pendent lappets enclosing taotie masks, each section interspersed with flanges, the stone of grey-white tone with russet inclusions (chips). 18.1cm (7in) high. - Estimate: £800 - 1,200
