A grey and russet jade cup, yi - Late Ming Dynasty
Of archaistic yi form, carved with a mythical beast mask loop handle opposite the everted spout, the exterior with a frieze enclosing two whirl roundels flanked by C scrolls below a key-fret border, the stone of grey tone with russet streaks and inclusions (old minute chips to the rim). 13.4cm (5¼in) long.- Estimate: £1,500 - 2,000
