The well-carved, openwork vessel shows Zhang Qian riding comfortably in his hollowed log raft; horn of dark burnished patina; with well-carved openwork wood base resembling turbulent water. L: 5 3/4 in. Very dark patina, some handling wear but no evidence of major breaks, losses or repairs. Estimate $10,000-15,000
