the curved sides supported on a slightly tapered foot, flaring at the rim, finely incised around the exterior with beribboned bajixiang ('Eight Buddhist Emblems'), applied overall with a translucent glaze of an aubergine tone, the countersunk base reserved in white, inscribed with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue.
