Set with a fancy vivid purplish pink oval step-cut diamond weighing 4.25 carats, between brilliant-cut diamonds of pinkish tint and two button-shaped natural pearls, one of white colour measuring approximately 8.3 x 8.4 x 6.4mm, and one of yellowish brown colour measuring approximately 8.4 x 8.5 x 7.2mm, the mount entirely set with near-colourless brilliant-cut diamonds, size 54, maker's marks. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2145280123, stating that the central diamond is Fancy Vivid Purplish Pink, Natural Colour, VVS1 Clarity.
Accompanied by GIA reports no. 1142403685 and no. 2145403590, stating that the pearls were found to be natural, saltwater, with no indication of treatment.

NOTE DE CATALOGUE: American born Charles Vaillant was a prominent New York jeweller, who fought for the French in the First World War. A talented draughtsman and an accomplished sculptor, he began his career working primarily as a stone setter in the 1920's. His company was incorporated in 1932 and became well known for its own creations. He cultivated socialite clients from important New York families such as the Whitneys, Vanderbilts and Phipps. Vaillant also worked for the Duke of Verdura and manufactured for many other famous houses of the time such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Trabert & Hoeffer and Harry Winston.
