Decorated, possibly in the Seuter workshop in Augsburg, in finely tooled gilding with a large chinoiserie vignette in the centre, and four smaller vignettes around the rim, gilt band to edge of rim, 22.6cm diam, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue. Lot 40. Estimate: £3,000 - 4,000 / €3,600 - 4,900 / US$ 4,800 - 6,400
Notes: A similar plate is illustrated by S. Ducret, Meissner Porzellan bemalt in Augsburg (1971), vol. I, ill. 191, where the decoration is attributed to Abraham Seuter.
