well-potted with a tapering body elegantly rising to a rounded shoulder beneath a short waisted neck, covered overall with an attractive pale celadon glaze, the base inscribed with a six-character Yongzheng mark within a double-circle, wood stand.

Note: Yongzheng mark and period meiping of this unusual short and broad form are extremely rare although a closely related pair, similarly covered in an even glaze of celadon green, are illustrated in Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramcis from the Meiyintang Collection, Vol. 2, London, 1994, pl. 858.
