Thinly potted with deep rounded sides rising from a short foot to an everted rim, densely painted on the exterior with four roundels with a ruyi-head border, each enclosing a character of wan shou wu jiang (boundless longevity), interspersed with the Eight Buddhist Emblems and lotus scrolls, the interior with a central shou medallion encircled by the eight emblems. 18.3cm (7 1/5in) diam. Sold for £5,000 (€5,997)
