the shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to a widely flaring rim, freely carved to the interior with a leafy lotus scroll and covered overall in an ivory-white glaze, characteristically pooling in tear-drops to the exterior.

Provenance: Sotheby's London, 8th November 2006, lot 275.
