The two slightly baroque drop-shaped natural pearls of white and grey colour, weighing respectively approximately 112.32 and 96.52 grains, each with a diamond-set cap, suspended from a baguette- and circular-cut diamond fan-shaped top, 1949 (pearls of later addition), 4.4 cm, with French assay marks for platinum and gold, in pink suede fitted case Signed and with maker’s mark for Cartier, no. 01486 – Estimate: CHF270,000 – CHF450,000 ($306,097 – $510,162)
Accompanied by report no. 71772 dated 27 November 2013 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that both pearls are natural saltwater pearls, with no indications of artificial colour modification, and an Appendix letter stating that 'These pearls of highly attractive size have been selected carefully and set as a perfect combination.'
