This Chinese jade carving represents a ram and dates to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
The figure is carved all around, in harmonious proportions and with lifelike detail. It is characterized by a translucent, pale celadon color mottled with brown flecks and shows the typical sheen of a hand-polished piece.
