The first, with bracketed rim, moulded and carved with floral scrolls over the petalled well to both the exterior and interior, the centre with a moulded peony within an ogival panel; the second, larger, with a moulded petalled well beneath the galleried rim and a faint moulded design to the centre. The largest: 31cm (1 1/4in) diam (2).
Provenance: An English private collection.
The bracketed rim dish acquired from Spink & Son, Ltd., London on 19 February 1980; the galleried-rim dish from George Horan Oriental Antiques Ltd., London on 6 September 1978.
