the gently tapering body rising from a short spreading foot to broad rounded shoulders and a narrow short waisted neck, freely painted around the exterior with three quatrefoil panels, two enclosing figures, the third a crane, all reserved on a floral scroll ground and between scrolling leafy floral bands, covered overall with a transparent turquoise glaze.
