The duck carved in the round holding a lingzhi spray in its beak with its head turned sharply looking back, the plumage well-carved and incised, its two feet tucked under its body, the stone of pale celadon with extensive russet brown areas and a smooth polish.

Provenance: Acquired in the late 1980s from the Marcel Griffon Collection, Nice, France, who was a prominent dealer and collector in Middle Eastern, African and Oriental art from the 1930s to the 1960s.
