'Marco Polo and the Silk Road' at the China World Art Museum in Beijing

BEIJING - The latest exhibition at the China World Art Museum in Beijing invites you to explore the world of Marco Polo (1254-1324) and the Silk Road.

Through the eyes of the Venetian merchant Marco Polo, as well as other missionaries, traders, and warriors, journey across Eurasia and relive their adventures on the Silk Road.

This exhibition highlights the remarkable cross-cultural exchanges between China and Italy, showcasing their profound impact and enduring legacy.

The China World Art Museum in Beijing is showcasing 135 exquisite artifacts from 15 Italian and Chinese cultural institutions, including paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, ceramics, glassware, jewelry, and textiles. These precious items vividly narrate the grand adventures of Marco Polo (1254-1324) across Eurasia and the unparalleled legend of the Silk Road.
