LONDON.-A newly-discovered - and extraordinarily rare – Chinese “dragon vase” sold at Sotheby’s in London this afternoon for £2,820,500 - establishing a new auction record for piece of Qing Dynasty blue and white porcelain. The vase, which had been dismissed as a copy in the 1970s and had subsequently lain neglected in the bottom of a wardrobe, was discovered by Sotheby’s expert Alastair Gibson earlier this year.

LONDRES (Reuters) - Un vase chinois du 18e siècle, qui prenait la poussière au fond d'une armoire, a été finalement vendu mercredi aux enchères 2,8 millions de livres (4 millions d'euros) par la maison Sothebys. Le "vase dragon" bleu et blanc de la dynastie Qing a été découvert par hasard après que sa propriétaire a confié à un expert de Sothebys qu'elle possédait un vase ressemblant à celui présenté lors d'une exposition à Londres.
