A pale grey jade flattened vase, fanghu - Late Ming Dynasty
Finely carved in shallow relief around the pear-shaped body with meandering lotus scrolls, flanked on each side by a writhing chilong dragon, the neck with two lion-shaped handles and two stylised shou characters, the stone of a pale grey tone with russet markings (mouth rim chip). 19cm (7½in) high. - Sold for £2,800 plus Premium and tax
