Two Tibetan gilt bronze figures of the Fifth Dalai Lama - 18th century
The first, seated in dhyanasana on a floral incised textile over the sealed plinth, holding a string of beads, wearing long flowing robes spreading over the stand; the second, seated with his left leg pendent, his right hand in vitarka mudra and the left in varada mudra holding a flask, wearing long flowing robes incised with geometric patterns and tied at the waist (unsealed).
