finely potted with slightly flared sides, rising from a short footring, the exterior enamelled in a brilliant tone of lemon yellow, the interior glazed white, the countersunk base inscribed with a six-character reign mark within a double circle in underglaze blue.

Provenance: Sotheby's Hong Kong, 20th November 1984, lot 442.

Note: A pair of yellow-glazed Yongzheng cups of the same size and form in the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities, Stockholm, is illustrated by Wirgin, Chinese Ceramics from the Axel and Nora Lundgren Bequest, pl. 58a, no. 77, and another cup is illustrated by Lee, Selected Far Eastern Art in the Yale University Art Gallery, no. 355.
